About This Experience

A driver collects you from your hotel on Djerba and the day begins on the old Roman road off the island, with a photo stop at Chahbania where the salt flats start.

Tataouine gave its name to the planet Tatooine, and the town's market is the first long stop — an hour to walk it and practise haggling. Chenini follows: the Berber village above the valley, its granary cells cut into the cliff and the white mosque on the ridge.

It is the same ground as the Zarzis-based Berber tours but run as a guided coach day, which makes it the gentler option for anyone who does not want a jeep.
